island

is one of the largest islands in the
Adriatic
: covering an area of 285 km2 it is the fifth in size, and with its 270 km long, indented coast Pag has the longest coastline among the Adriatic islands, dotted with bays and coves, capes and beaches. The largest among them,

, is encircled by 20 kilometres of pebbly beaches.
Novalja, the best developed tourist centre on the
island

Pag
, is situated in the area of low, gently indented coasts, sheltered from the Bora and exposed to the sun, facing the vast sea area of Kvarneric. Such conditions, favourable to the growth of tourist demand, have facilitated the development of modern tourist offer. Nature has endowed this region with lovely beaches in close vicinity of the town: Zrce, Caska, Trincel, Babe, Vrtic, Strasko and Branicevica.
In summer Novalja entertains a number of cultural, art, recreation and sports manifestations, to enrich its tourist offer.
