POMENIC is house which used to belong to well known
Korculan shipbuilders family Pomenic. It is located in Street Ulica
Banicevica (have
a look at the map). Local shipbuilders used to build their
boats in the ground floor of this house. The last small wooden
boat was build here by local shipbuildes Cvijo and Kruno in
mid 1960's. House POMENIC is located in one of the eastern streets of Korcula Old Town, right
across the road from the restaurant 'Taverna Marco Polo'. It
is about 2 minutes walk from Korcula
Main Square Piazetta - the very heart of Korcula Old Town.
The house itself is, as all the other houses in the Old Town,
narrow and tall, attached to other houses in the row (terraced)
and it consists of ground floor and 4 additional floors. This
accommodations are ideal for people who would like to be in
the very centre of all actions within Korcula Old Town, on only
few minutes walk from all important Korcula buildings.
