More than 3000 people took part in the 7th semi-marathon that was organised in Rijeka on Sunday, a traditional run that includes young participants, those with physical challenges, as well as professional marathon runners.

With the tourist season proper not yet officially underway, Dubrovnik saw the arrival of a plethora of tourists from cruisers docked in the waters off this southernmost resort and historic town in Croatia on Friday that blocked the narrow access routes to the Dubrovnik Old Town.

According to the USTOA, the association of the American tour operators, Croatia has been proclaimed the top tourist destination in 2008.
A total of 215,025 tourists from the U.S.A. and Canada visited Croatia in 2007, which was an increase by 17 percent as compared with 2006.

 Jadrolinija, the Croatian ferry company has published the summer timetable for local ferries around Croatian coast.

 There are some good news comming from Croatian authorities about boats and ferries in Croatia : The municipalities of Pula, Fazana and Rovinj have last week agreed to jointly finance a new ferry boat line that will connect Pula via Fažana (place accross the Brijuni National Park)  and Rovinj.
