SkyEurope will fly from Vienna to Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik
Sky Europe Airlines, Central Europe’s low-cost airline, will fly from Vienna to Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik. It is announced yesterday with info about the opening of its new base at Vienna Schwechat International airport from where it is additionally offering 16 new European destinations.

Croatian Painter Djuro Pulitika Dies
Djuro Pulitika, well known Croatian painter that lived and worked in Dubrovnik has died at the age of 85. Đuro Pulitika painted colorful landscapes of his native Dubrovnik as well as Dalmatia . The recurrent and distinctive female nudes, with landscapes in the background are also subject of his numerous paintings.

Hotel Belvedere in Dubrovnik will re-open in two years

According to some regional daily newspapers, Hotel Belvedere in Dubrovnik will hopefully re-open in two years. While shareholders are currently busy discussing reconstruction arrangements in terms of money, shares, planning permissions etc, Orsula, near Sveti Jakov – one of Dubrovnik’s most prestigious locations, still houses this ruined hotel.
