Spearfishing New Year Cup at Mali Losinj, Croatia

Every year Mali Losinj, the largest place on the island of Losinj, (the Croatian Island located in Kvarner Gulf) organises a New Year’s Cup in spearfishing (underwater fishing).
The event includes two competitions, the Winter Cup of Cities and the European Cup of Nations, and this year it will be hold from 28th to 30th of December.

Croatia to participate at Brest International Festival of Sailors

The Brest International Festival of Sailors is taking place from 11th to 17th July 2008.
It is a large sailing event organized in Brest, France.
At this year’s event Croatia, Vietnam and Madagascar will be the guests of honors. These three countries will be participating with vessels which, until recently, were quite unknown to the nautical heritage.
