To inaugurate Sljeme as a desirable destination for ski competitions, the Croatian Ski Federation organized in 2005 the Golden Bear World Ski Cup women’s slalom race. The event was later renamed Snow Queen in honour of Janica Kostelic, the all time greatest Croatian women’s skier.

Film ‘Market’ made by Croatian artist Ana Husman is currently screened at the London Short Film Festival (4th and 13th of January).
This animated film, beautifully made, is shot at Dolac, the Zagreb’s food market, where local people shop for fruit and vegetables.

SAS Sverige is to introduce the new flight routes to Croatia.
The Stockholm - Zagreb route will start on March 31 and departures will be on Monday and Friday afternoons from Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
