Croatia and USA: Open Skies air transport agreement
The Croatian Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure said in a statement that Croatia and the USA recently initiated an Open Skies Air Transport Agreement, which provides for free market competition.
The agreement reinforces the friendly ties and partnership between Croatia and the US, and introduces contemporary trends in international air transport while promoting the liberalization of air transport between the two countries, the statement said.
Croatia expects its tourism to benefit the most from the agreement, which realizes key economic and political interests, the statement said.
Thanks to the understanding of the US side, the agreement includes provisions which will not undermine the partner relations on air transport Croatia has been successfully developing with the European Commission, the statement said.
