Croatia Tourism Figures 2007
According to Croatian media, the results of this year’s tourist season in Croatia show that 2007 will be the best tourist year ever, with the number of tourist arrivals increasing 7.5 per cent and bed-nights 5.7 per cent, the Tourism Council and the Croatian National Tourist Board said at a meeting last week.
State secretary for tourism Zdenko Micic and Tourist Board director Niko Bulic said that the results exceeded official plans and expectations, describing this year’s season as “a season to remember.”
Bulic said that tourism revenue might reach EUR 7 billion, which would be an increase of 10 per cent compared to 2006.
