Dubrovnik - Sveti Vlaho celebration
Last weekend a central holiday of a three-day marking of the day of Dubrovnik and St. Vlaho was held in Dubrovnik.
Dubrovnik was celebrating for the 1035th times the feast of their patron saint Sveti Vlaho (St. Blaise), which is also the Dubrovnik City Day.
The Feast started with a ceremony of raising the saint’s flag at the Orlando pillar located on Stradun (Placa) – Dubrovnik’s main street, releasing a white pigeon for peace and reading out the old Laus prayers.
Church procession was also held on the streets of Dubrovnik.
