Increased interest of Japanese tourists for Croatia

Over the the past year, the interest has increased of Japanese tourists for Croatia.

This is what Attache in the Japanese Embassy in Croatia,  Atsushi Saitto,  said in Zagreb couple days ago, at a session entitled “Tourism – What Do Japanese Tourists Expect“, organised by the Croatian Chamber of the Economy’s council of the cultural tourism organisation.

In the first eight months of 2007, a total of 49,650 Japanese tourists visited Croatia, up 26 percent compared to the same period of last year.

In the same period the number of overnight-stays made by tourists from Japan rose by 25 percent to 78,375.
