Istria in Travel and Leasure Magazine
In its January issue, the USA travel magazine, ”Travel and Leasure” has included Istria in its “Where to go next” section under the title “Istria, Croatia the next Provence?”
This is an extract of what magazine’s writer Shann Fountain is saying about Istria:
“Having discovered the Dalmatian Coast, travelers to Croatia are now venturing farther north, to Istria, which could easily be mistaken for Provence.
Its sunlit rolling hills, miles of vineyards, and charming medieval towns are much like those of its French rival, and its beaches sparkle as brightly as those of the better-known coast to the south….
For all travelers, getting there became easier when Easy Jet added flights from the United Kingdom last summer; Ryanair is following suit next month….”
Sounds much more promissing than Croatia’s prospects with recommendations from Sunday Times Travel Magazine.
