Guided by the idea to offer something new to tourists in Medimurje in north Croatia, the Hands of Medimurje Association has recently presented its Tradition Roads project aiming to combine local tradition and Medimurje region’s tourist offer.

The Hands of Medimurje Association plans to combine the region’s old trades with the restaurant & hotel offer. The project is supported by the Medimurje County Tourist Board and the Cakovec Tourist Board.

The present tourist points on the Tradition Road are Medimurski dvori, Mala hiža, Stridon, Hotel Golf and other hospitality establishments, and the offer also includes the Hands of Medimurje Gallery & Educational Center, pottery, gardening in a traditional garden, weaving in a loom, wood carving, traditional cuisine, basket-making and a river mill operated by the EOL Environmental Organization.

The Tradition Road is a interesting tourist product, containing a comprehensive offer. It significantly differs from the wine road because it includes the educational component providing the guests with a better insight to the tradition of the Medimurje region.
