Monument to the Sun in Zadar

zadar monument to SunThe construction of the Monument to the Sun is being completed in Zadar.

The Greeting to the Sun, as the monument is referred to - a large art installation consisting of 300 solar plates incorporated in the stone quay in the shape of a circle, measures 22 meters in diameter.

The monument symbolizes the Sun while the solar plates absorbs solar energy in daytime, transforming into unusual light effects during the night.

Following distinctive originality of the Zadar Sea Organ, the image of which has already circled the globe, Zadar will soon be presented with another attractive feature that will certainly make the city different than any other.
