Castle Odescalchi in Principovac near Ilok renovated

Ilocki podrumi company recently finished the renovation of the war torn and abandoned summer residence of the Odescalchi noble family that was damaged during the homeland war in Principovac. This was the estate of the Italian Odescalchi family, which was given to them, as well as surrounding lands in Srijem, by the Austrian Emperor Leopold in 1697.

Silba Island will get underwater museum
Map of Pocukmarak Bay at Silba Island where new underwater museum is to be opened: View Larger Map Last year the remains of a sarcophagus were found in Pocukmarak bay on Silba Island, as well as the remains of another one. Recently, a second phase of underwater research started where archaeologists will explore the wider area and carry out the preparations for opening an underwater museum.

Protected River Area Mura-Drava-Danube
Croatia and Hungary have agreed on the establishment of a cross-border Mura-Drava-Danube biosphere reserve within the UNESCO “Man and Biosphere” program. The biosphere reserve is a representative ecological area with three basic tasks: to protect natural assets, to encourage sustainable development and to stimulate scientific research related to the improvement of the quality of life and sustainable use of natural goods.

Tourist fleet development in Croatia
