The Croatian National Tourist Board adopts work plan for 2008

hrvatska turisticka zajednica logoAccording to Croatian media, last week,  the Croatian National Tourist Board (Hrvatska Turisticka Zajednica) adopted a work plan for 2008 and re-elected Niko Bulic to the post of Croatian Tourist Board’s Head Office director for a third consecutive term.

The 2008 work plan in 2008 was adopted at a session of the HTZ Council held as part of the Croatian Tourism Days event in Cavtat near Dubrovnik.

The draft work plan for 2008 envisages a further increase in tourist turnover of 2-3 percent and a rise in tourism revenue of five percent, to amount to 7.27 billion euros while prices in the tourist sector in 2008 are expected to increase by three percent on average.

Speaking of this year’s tourist season, the state secretary for tourism said that tourism figures of Croatia were favourable and that all of the country’s regions had reported an increase in tourist turnover. (Croatian National Tourist Board, Iblerov trg 10/IV, 10000 Zagreb, Hrvatska)
