Varazdin County - an attractive excursion destination

Situated in the northwest of Croatia, Varazdin County is a hilly region with numerous vineyards, its beauty, tidiness and extensive offer making it one of the most attractive excursion regions in the country. The castle was built at the end of the 13th Century in the picturesque Bednja Valley, surrounded by the meadows, forest, and small vineyards of the gently sloping Zagorje mountains: Strahinjšcica (847 m), Macelj (715 m), Ravna Gora (686 m) and the tallest, Ivanšcica (1061 m).

Lepoglava - One of the highlights among numerous attractive destinations is known for its magnificent church, as well as the art of making the famous Lepoglava lace, and the popular Ludbreg shrine.
