 Huh
What is the cheapest way to travel to Croatia and then Dubrovnik in August. We are a family of four. So far I'm looking at flying to Zagreb from London with Wizzair or to Ljubljana with Easyjet. What would you recommend?

Thanks

If you fly to Zagreb or Ljubljana, it will take you long time to reach Dubrovnik unless you want to fly to Dubrovnik on local flights.
I found, searching at our page : www.find-croatia.com/flights-croatia/
return flight from London Gatwick to Dubrovnik on Croatia Airlines for £142 per person.

Details : London to Dubrovnik  Thu 14 Aug 2008 – Thu 21 Aug 2008
Timing : LGW 10:30  DBV 14:00 &  DBV 08:00   LGW 09:40

It is reasonable price and no hussle with chenging airports, finding buses etc. Unless you want to visit Zagreb too..

Hi Paul, what are your prefered dates? Perhaps you can consider to fly to Split on easyjet and then take bus to Dubrovnik . This can be cheap option too Smiley

London to Split one way is £59 in August on easyjet, plus another 150 Kuna per person on bus from Split to Dubrovnik plus 4 hours bus ride along the cost. Split is nice place to visit, but if you want Dubrovnik only, then fly there.

Hi Jakov, I am thinking of spending some time in the Split region anyway so possibly we could return to London from Split but fly into Dubrovnik at the beginning. How long from Split by bus?
29th July to 16th August are my dates.

What lot of people do is to fly to Dubrovnik and then take ferries via islands (Mljet,Korcula,Hvar) to Split.

Ferries from Dubrovnik to Islands are not expensive (30-50 Kuna per person) so that can be good option.

Travelling by bus is also interesting as you can see coastline.

Most of buses has air-conditioning so you shoud be ok as far as temperature is concerned.

Your dates are pretty buzy, very high season..

Ana, when I try to find the prices you quote the website tells me: Please check your date of departure and arrival. Valid dates are 3 days from now through the next 6 months. For flights within 72 hours, please contact the sales office in the country of the selected departure flight.
Can you tell me how you find these prices?
Thanks

Go to www.find-croatia.com/flights-croatia/ and click on Kayak icon.
Search for flights from London to Dubrovnik.
It will list you various companies that fly to Dubrovnik on that particular day.
In "Chart" mode you can see the cheapest dates for flying so if your dates are flexible, you can adjust them for cheaper options.
I hope this is good enough explanation :-)

Ana, seems the flights at these prices are not available  Huh

I might try calling them and seeing if it's just a web thing.
