Ferries to Mljet
« on: September 22, 2008, 01:04:14 PM »
Hello from UK,
I am staying on Mljet shortly for a week and am trying to work out how to get there as the ferry information is confusing. I'm travelling out to Mljet on Sunday 28th September in the evening and think the only ferry I can get is the 20.30 ferryfrom Prapratno to Sobra. After Tuesday 30th September I can't find any timetable for a return journey on the Jadrolinija ferry website. I have to travel back on Sunday 5th October to catch flight at Dubrovnik in the afternoon. Does anyone know what ferries run that day?
I think I am between the summer and winter ferry timetables (just my luck!!).

Cheers for any information or comments

Robert

If you are arriving late in Dubrovnik the only ferry would be to one you mentioned.
To return,  if you are foot passenger, use ferry nona ana from Sobra to Dubrovnik dep 17:40 arrival 18:55
gv-line.hr/raspored.php?linija=3
Not sure about Jadrolinija one, but they do run ferry ever day from Mljet to Dubrovnik.

I am trying to get from Bol to Mljet on 2nd June.

We then need to get from Mljet back up to Split on 5th June.

I'm not sure what the best way to go is?

Are there ferries running to/from Mljet around that time?

Please could you advise if you can help us because I'm really battling to get the information I require.

Many Thanks,

Nick

Ferries are running, but are not frequent.
The best is to either go to Dubrovnik and take bus to Split or go to Prapratno on Peljesac, take taxi to Doli (mainland) and from there cacth bus to Split.

I am planning a trip from Dubrovnik to Rijeka by bike, via the islands.

I saw some information on korculainfo website.

Does the ferry from Sobra to Prapratno still operate?

Do you have up-to-date timetables?

Would you know by chance if the ferry from Dubrovnik to Sobra still operates and have its timetables?

Thank you a lot for the information.

Yes, it does :)
It goes 4 times a day - check updated timetable for all these ferries at jadrolinija.hr
