New Aquarium in Vodice

18.05.06 - Vodice, the small town in northern Dalmatia, 11 km northwest of Sibenik, with population of just over 5000 residents is getting a large aquarium.

The aquarium will be located in area of 650 square meters within the atractive building at the very centre of Vodice town.

It is going to be the largest aquarium in Dalmatia, equiped with the latest aquarium technology.

The aquarium will house about 60 fish and marine species from Adriatic Sea, among them some species that are very rare too.

Beside aquarium the collection will display large selection of items from Croatia's seafaring and maritime heritage as well as vintage fishing equipment that is unique for Dalmatia.

The aquarium's opening date is expected to be sometims in June this year.
