UNESCO Heritage of Croatia on Posters

A growing interest in Croatian cultural heritage, coupled with the efforts of those working in tourism to promote it, are the moving force behind a new Croatian National Tourist Board poster series featuring motifs of areas under UNESCO protection. Their total print run is 36,000 copies featuring 18 different motifs.

Three Croatian urban centres, two landmarks and one national park are recognised by UNESCO as monuments of world cultural heritage.

These are the late-antiquity Diocletian’s of Dubrovnik and Trogir, Porec’s Basilica of Eufrasius and St. Jacob’s Cathedral in Šibenik.

The Plitvice Lakes, Croatia’s most beautiful and best-known national park, are also a part of UNESCO’s world heritage. Five of the UNESCO-protected areas are on the coastline while the Plitvice Lakes are inland, easily accessible by road to tourists visiting the coast.

They will be of interest to tourists looking for cultural heritage and to all others wanting to take in the Palace, rebuilt over the centuries as medieval Split, the old cities exceptional atmosphere of these ancient cities and natural beauties.
