STON
 Ston is a small fortified town on Peljesac Peninsula, about 54 km north-west of Dubrovnik , well known for it's medieval walls that circle the town itself. Ston is also well known for it's oyster production in Ston Channel as well as for it's salt works in the near vicinity that produce sea salt for centuries.
Bay of Prapratna is popular swimming spot for locals and visitors alike as it has clean sandy beach and sea surrounded by olive trees where popular camping site and campground is located.
 Ston was founded in 14th century as part of Dubrovnik Republic territory. The town was then fortified by Dubrovnik Republic with 980 meters of walls, forming an irregular shape of pentagon, with larger towers on the corners of this irregular shape. It took about 200 years to build these walls and masters that work on them were : Zupan Bunic 1455, Bernardin from Parma 1461, Olivier the French 1472-1478 and Paskoje Milicevic 1488-1506.
 From the north-western corner the walls rise to the top of Pozvizd, where they merge with Pozvizd Fortress, and from the north-eastern corner they follow the line of the isthmus to coalesce with the walls of Mali Ston. The largest tower is Veliki Kastio and is located on south-west corner of the walls.
Other important buildings in Ston include:
- Chancery of the Dubrovnik Republic, built in Gothic and Renaissance styles,
- Sorkocevic Palace
- Bishop's palace from 16th century that has elements of late Renaissance.
- Renaisance Duke's Palace was expanded and reconstructed in the 19th century.
- Franciscan monastery with its cloister built in Gothic-Renaissance style and Sveti Nikola church, built in Romanesque-Gothic style from 14th century - where various works of art are saved
- Annunciation - the parish church - erected in the 15th century outside the walls, on the location of the former parish church of Our Lady of Luzina.
