Novi Zagreb Photos

Novi Zagreb Photos - Novi Zagreb (New Zagreb) is the part of the Zagreb that is located to the south of the Sava river. It is mostly residential, consisting of blocks of flats and tower blocks that were built in the Socialist era 1945 to 1980's. Expansion of Novi Zagreb was started by Zagreb mayor Veceslav Holjevac, when he moved Zagrebački Velesajam out of the centre of the city to the south bank of the river Sava in early 1950's.
