Zagreb Arrival, Departure and City Transport

Zagreb has very good transport connections with other countries and other parts of Croatia. The airport is only 17 kilometers from the city center. In addition to Croatia Airlines, the national airline, the capital city is connected with the rest of the world by international regular and charter airlines
(www.croatiaairlines.com). Thanks to the modern motorway network, Zagreb also has excellent road and railway connections. After the Zagreb-Sisak motorway is completed, Zagreb will get a new south entrance with two junctions – Jakuševac and Sveta Klara.

Arriving in Zagreb:

Flying to Zagreb:
If you fly to Zagreb, you will arrive at Zagreb Airport, which is located about 17 km from the centre of the city. From there you can take 20-25 minutes by bus ride Zagreb Airport bus to Zagreb City Centre at Glavni Kolodvor, which is local name for Zagreb Central Bus Station. From there, you will take any local bus or tram to travel further to your destination.

Trains to Zagreb:
Zagreb is well connected by trains from Western and Easter Europe. The Main Zagreb Railway Station is located in the centre of the City at Trg Kralja Tomislava 12, a ten minutes walk from Trg Bana Jelacica - the central city square.

Buses to Zagreb:
Croatia has huge network of buses that run up and down the country. As Zagreb is Croatian Capital, lot of busses arrive and pass through Zagreb on their way to other cities and regions. Zagreb's Central Bus Station is located on Marin Drzic Avenue, a few minutes by tram (line number 6) from the main city square Trg Bana Jelacica.
