Croatia coast line is 1900 km long and has nearly 1264 islands and islets. There are ferry lines to all bigger islands from mainland. But if you want to see more islands’ in week or two you will have to go back to mainland and then to another island. Connection in between islands is very poor ore there is no connection. That is the reason why there is so many yacht charter and yacht along Croatian shore line.

Yacht charter Croatia works on very simple principle. So the first step would be from to choose where to start.Charter bases (Marinas) are speeded along the coast. Usually they are near international airports and major cities and near highways exits. We can separate them in regions as follow: Istria region, Rijeka (Kvarner) region, Zadar (North Dalmatia) region, Sibenik (Middle-North Dalmatia), Split (Middle Dalmatia) region and Dubrovnik (south Dalmatia) region.
Second step would be to choose type of yacht –boat you want to charter. Depending on comfort level or experience you have on sea you can choose between sailing boats (mono hull), catamarans (also sailboat but with two hulls), motor boats, luxury yachts, gullets or motor sailors.
Once you chose starting port and type of the boat you need to see if your license (if you have one is valid for that kind of yacht). If you license is not valid or you don’t have one you will need to hire a skipper. Skipper is local and knows local weather, ports, bays, restaurants and he is also you tourist guide on sea.
