Croatian Food Festival opens at UN headquarters in New York

Croatian Food Festival opened at United Nations headquarters in New York at :  UN, New York 1st Avenue 45th Street, Manhattan, USA.

The gastronomic event, due to close on October 11, features traditional dishes from all areas of the country, prepared by a team of renowned Croatian chefs.

The exhibition “Be Croative”, on Croatia’s contribution to the world heritage”, will be staged as part of the event.

UN member states organise gastronomic events to promote their countries or to lobby support for important positions in UN bodies.

Croatian Food Festival is part of Croatian diplomatic activities aimed at lobbying support for Croatia’s bid to become a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. (Hina)
