easyJet announces 10 new routes / five new cities – Split added from London Gatwick

easyjet110.03.06 easyJet, Europe’s leading low-fares airline, announced the introduction of 10 more routes for this summer, including the addition of five new cities.

Following last week’s announcement of flights to Rijeka in Croatia, easyJet today announces the start of services to Split, Croatia’s second largest city, from London Gatwick. Bristol is also connected with Rijeka.

The addition of Split to the airline’s rosters is good news for holidaymakers, as the city is an ideal launch point for the exploration of Croatia’s islands such as Korcula, Hvar, and Brac.

easyJet is also focusing on the further development of its services to France and Italy – Ajaccio (in Corsica), Bordeaux, La Rochelle and Rimini are wholly new destinations.

Five new routes are offered from Bristol – bringing the number of destinations offered to 30 from the West Country airport.

Today’s announcement also holds exciting news for Scotland, where the airline recently announced significant expansion from Glasgow International Airport. This summer the airline will also launch flights between Edinburgh and Alicante.

Andrew Harrison, easyJet Chief Executive, said:

“This is a significant announcement from easyJet. As well as adding a further Croatian city to the network we are delighted to be growing even further at our Bristol base, from where we will carry almost three million passengers in the coming year.”
