Hiking in Croatia in 1950’s

This advert from mid 1950’s produced for French visitors is showing a couple of walkers in their walking gear (rucksacks, boots, walking pole…) walking along Croatian seashore, passing near road sign that indicates directions of sea, spas and mountains.

At the time, Croatia (then part of Yugoslavia) was already popular walkers and hikers destination as this old poster advert ( probably published by National Tourist Office) suggests.
