Hvar among World’s Sexiest Islands
According to Forbes, the USA business magazine, Hvar is among ten sexiest islands in the world 🙂 This prestigious title Hvar achieved because of it’s clear sea, beautiful beaches and exciting night life. In article’s introduction, writer explains criteria that were use to form their decision:
“Unusual natural or cultural features were another factor. Of course, we sought supple palm trees, beaches with powder-soft sand and brilliant coral reefs within snorkeling distance. But having a thriving local trade in fresh lavender, rosemary, figs and olives, as in Hvar, a Croatian island in the Adriatic Sea, doesn’t hurt. “
This is what Forbes says about Hvar:
Hvar, Croatia: Smothered in heather and with a Mediterranean summer climate, the island of Hvar, in the Adriatic Sea off the coast of Croatia, is idyllic. There are pristine beaches and a thriving fishing industry, and locals grow olives, figs, lavender and rosemary. Formal luxury hotels don’t really exist on Hvar; your best bet is to book yourself into a private villa like Villa Floriana, which comes with staff, a car and a boat, and costs between $11,000 and $18,000 per week. Other nine sexy islands include Anguilla and St. Barthelemy at Caribbean, Corsica, Formentera in Spain, Lhaviyani at Maldvinas,Molokai Hawaii, Bahamas, Sardinia and Santorini in Greece.
Forbes conclude it’s article with following :
“To compile our list of the World’s Sexiest Islands, we searched from sea to shining sea for remote, appealing locales. Some are well-known, while others you may never have heard of. But all of them will compel you, an otherwise sane traveler, to throw off your shoes, hide your watch and voluntarily give up Internet access. Now that’s sexy.”
Forbes has been writing about Croatia for last couple of years. Last year it mentioned Dalmatian Coast as New Mediterranean Riviera. Visit our page about Island of Hvar
