Liburnia Jazz Festival in Opatija

In the first weekend of July, from  4.7.2010 to 6.7.2010,  Opatija will be a host to the Liburnia Jazz Festival, which, according to its level of recognition, number of concerts and visitors, is definitely the largest jazz festival in Croatia and the region.

Jazz will be heard at eight town locations. Evening concerts will take place at the Large Stage of the Open Air Theatre and  Street Jazz Festival will fill your afternoons with music played live on Opatija‘s hotels and cafes terraces along the main street.

Lovers of the sea will have the opportunity to sail along the Opatija’s coast on the Jazz Boat having a drink and listening to good music.

The 10th Liburnia Jazz Festival can thus announce a total of twenty concerts on eight stages.

Besides the Street Jazz Festival, six concerts will take place on the stage of the Open Air Theatre during the three Festival days.

    Dobar dan!
From my perspective here in America, it appears that interest in visiting Croatia is mushrooming! Our travel press nationwide is featuring Croatia as a splendid travel destination and the inquiries that I personally receive about travel options/destinations are definitely increasing. I hope your bookings reflect this very positive trend!
I believe my book “A Taste of Croatia” has definitely helped to stimulate this interest. A recent review on Amazon, com describes this travel memoir/cookbook as “FABULOUS, it is so much more than a collection of recipes! I have been interested in visiting Croatia & the writer has so piqued my interest I wish I could catch the next flight! Almost every page has sidebars with information about the country, the culture, & her fascinating experiences there. And what’s more, the recipes are interesting, doable, & good!”
Without a doubt, most of your potential clients are hoping to replicate my husband’s and my Croatian experiences that are captured in my book, a graphic and enticing travel memoir based on our three-year odyssey sailing the Adriatic coast and living aboard our 50-foot sailboat. It is the story of the lands we explored, the people we met, the markets we visited and the foods we enjoyed.
More than 5,000 copies have been sold worldwide and the book is now in its fourth printing. I am confident that it is an incredible marketing tool for your business and I would like to suggest that you reference “A Taste of Croatia” (www.atasteofcroatia.com) in your promotional material and on your website. You might even want to provide a copy for your guests.
“A Taste of Croatia” is available for purchase throughout Croatia at Algoritam bookstores. I would also be happy to provide you with wholesale information if you are interested in buying copies for your clients. It is definitely a wonderful travel guide and a fabulous souvenir as documented with the following Amazon quote:
“We thoroughly enjoyed…a recent trip in Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia -Herzogovina. Near the end of the trip, I went into a bookstore in Dubrovnik and asked if they had any cookbooks in English. This was the book that the clerk showed me. So I bought it and read it on the plane home. The author’s story brings back memories from our trip and the recipes are the food that we ate.”
I hope you will share my enthusiasm for this book. I would be very happy to respond to any questions that you might have and I look forward to hearing from you.
    All the best,
    Karen Evenden
