  Hi everyone.

  Does anybody know of some good family accommodation in the Northern Dalmation region.

  We are a British family but live in North Eastern Slovenia so would be driving down to the coast. We plan to travel the last week in June. My wife will by then will be 5 months pregnant and large and my two kids are 3 and 6 so we don’t really want to drive more than 5 hours.

  We would like somewhere with a safe swimming pool and close to the beach. We like to meet other families so the kids can play together and aren’t fussed whether it’s half board, B&B or self-catering. Although we’re English we do not want to be surrounded by other Brits and like an internationally mixed crowd. We would like to do a bit of sightseeing, the boys are good walkers and love lakes and waterfalls. We all enjoy good food and wine so if self-catering we would need to be close to shops and restaraunts although not too many.

  I guess a chalet on a camp site would be ideal but the couple we have found on the internet seem to be already booked up, we should have predicted this as we are in the tourism business ourselves! The Zaton holiday village looks great and they have an available chalet for the first week we plan to travel but it looks like we would have to camp for the second week which isn’t a great problem my only concern is that the heat in the tent may be too much for my pregnant wife. The other option might be an appartment near the Zaton Holiday Village and bunking in for the day or buying a day ticket?

  Any ideas would be greatly welcomed!

  You obviously already like Zaton holiday village, and as I understand your only problem is that 2nd week which you have to spend in tent. Why don’t you explain people in Zaton about your pregnant wife and ask them to allocate you tent in shadow of the trees? If tent is in the shadows it will not be hot in it.
