    According to the economic freedom indeks for 2007 published by the Heritage Foundation and the Wall Street Journal, the Croatian economy is 55 percent free, which places it into the category of “mostly non-free economies ” and its general assessment is below average.

    Zagreb: Average Wage 5,449 Kuna   :'(

    The average wage in Zagreb stands at 5,449 kuna up 33 kuna compared to September. 

    The net wage at the state level in October stood at 4,585 kuna, the Zagreb net wage for October was 18.8 percent higher.

    The average net wage in Zagreb for October in the economy sector stood at 5,484 kuna, while the average wage in non-economic sector was 5,369 kuna, the data supplied by the city statistics bureau.

    I am not surprised by this at all. You need van full of paperwork to do somekind of business in Croatia.
