  Croatian Films “Tre?eta” i “Sve d?aba”

  

  ?Treseta? and ?Sve Djabe? awarded in Bergamo

  Two Croatian films, ?Treseta? directed by Drazen Zarkovic and Pavo Marinkovic, and ?Sve Djabe?, directed by Antonije Nuic, have been awarded at the 25th ?Bergamo Film Meeting?, held from 10th to 18 March.

  Film ?Treseta?, produced by the Croatian Television won the second prize ? the silver ?Rosa Camunu (symbol of the Lombardy region) and ?Sve Djabe? won the third prize ? the bronze ?Rosa Camunu?. The first prize went to the Belgian film ?The Only One?, directed by Geoffre Enthoven.

  The Croatian feature-length film ?Treseta?, directed by Drazen Zarkovic and Pavo Marinkovic, won the best film award at the film festival held in Bucharest from 4-14 May. The film was produced by the Croatian Television Drama Programme. ?Treseta? is a melancholic humoresque that actualizes through a card game the problem of slow death of Croatian islands. So far, this is the greatest achievement of ?Treseta?, which was already awarded at film festivals in Mannheim and Bergamo. Its success is even greater considering that its cameraman Vedran Samanovic received the award for the festival?s best director of photography.
