Hi everyone. I have been looking at the exchange rates and it seems that in Croatia I may get a better rate for British pounds than I would if I was to exchange my money before travelling to Croatia. Has anyone had any experience of doing this?
One problem for me – if I was to leave it until I arrive in Dubrovnik to change GBP to Kunas – is that I arrive this saturday and I’m guessing that most banks will be closed in Dubrovnik on a saturday?
Has anyone had any experience of exchanging money in the airport at Dubrovnik? Do the exchange bureaus at the airport charge high commission fees?
Any info would make this miser very happy!!
I am not aware of actual situation in Dubrovnik airport, but in Split and Zagreb airport it is no problem to change money on a Saturday. Fore sure you will also have several exchange offices in the centre of Dubrovnik which are open on Saturdays and also Sundays.
Normally they would not charge you and commission, and the exchange rates are normally quite ok.
