  I will be visiting Croatia in September 2012 and will be hiring a car to travel around for part of the time.

  I would like to drive from Split to Dubrovnik and my research so far shows that to do that I would need to take a car ferry from Ploce to Trpanj.

  Is this the only option or can I drive all the way from Split to Dubrovnik without taking a car ferry.

  Hi there
  You can drive from Split to Dubrovnik without taking a car ferry by taking in a small section of Bosnia on route! There is approximately 8km on the coastal route between Split and Dubrovnik where you enter and exit Bosnia – as long as this is ok with car hire company & u have any necessary visas it’s very easy!
