That promoting yourself is exceptionally important  in tourism is attested to by the selection of the best tourist  boards in all of Europe carried out by the ECT (European  Cities of Tourism). Among this year?s nominees is the City of Dubrovnik Tourist Board.

The winner is to be announced during March. Given the stiff competition among the nominated cities, which include  Barcelona, Copenhagen, Stockholm and many others, the nomination of the City of Dubrovnik is in itself, as the people at the city?s Tourist Board point out, already a significant success.

Admittedly, the City of Dubrovnik Tourist Board was last year also the recipient of the exceptional praise of the association in question, in consideration of its excellent organisation of the ECT annual meeting, for which some one hundred of the director?s of the tourist boards of European cities were in Dubrovnik at the end of October of last year.

The reasons for the nomination of Dubrovnik in the company of the best are numerous, one part of the credit is certainly related to the excellent system of keeping tourists who have already arrived informed, as well as those who are only in the stages of planning their stay in this southern Dalmatian city.

On the Internet and at the Tourist Board itself, information related to novelties in the offer are updated  almost daily, and the staff of the city TB have recently  launched a new publication featuring promotional news.

The News (Vijesti) monthly will be issued at the beginning of each month and will be the place where all information
related to news in the offer, the activities of the local tourist companies and organisations and of the city?s Tourist Board itself, with a separate section dedicated to forthcoming activities.
