  Can anyone recommend a good value hotel or hostel in Split for one nght in August?  We are a family of four (2 adults + 2 teenagers aged 19 and 17) – nothing fancy but clean and basic, please!  Near the centre would be best as we will have limited time for seeing the major sites.

  One night in August  can be difficult
