jadahlGuestHello all,
Planning a graduation trip for my daughter in May. Want to visit Dubrovnik and Split and maybe a few in between. Planning to begin in Greece and end in Venice or vice versa, as it fits.
Two difficulties:
1. Travel between someplace in Greece and Dubrovnik. Have looked at ferry travel (Patras to Bari and Bari to Dubrovnik) but the winter schedule requires too much time (lv Patris at 6 pm arrive Dubrovnik at 7 am two days later). Are there any flights from Greece into Dubrovnik? Trains?
2. Travel between Dubrovnik and Split. Would like to do a coastal ferry, but a bus might be interesting with better schedules. We plan to travel with a backpack and duffel bag each. Is bus the way to go??
3. Finally, to Venice, the thought is an Adriatic ferry to Ancona in Italy and then a train. Open to ideas.
Thanks for any ideas or assistance.
Joe
paulaGuestGreetings,
This summer I need to travel from Istria to Igoumenitsa, Greece. I need to arrive in Greece at the latest by the morning of July 26. What would be the best route considering both time and money?
Thanks!
Paula

Nothing as far as I know :-[ you have to take at least two ferries https://ferryspots.com/croatia-greece-ferry/
acharyaSpectatorkicki,
I couldn’t find any direct ferries from Dubrovnik to Patras I’m afraid, though you could certainly try to change at a port in Italy – that might be easiest. I think the best place to change would be Bari or maybe Ancona. Other than that the easiest option is to fly, but does it have to be a ferry?
PeterSpectatorWOW! good news – new ferry route from Venice to Dubrovnik and Greece might be introduced:

I’ll keep my fingers crossed for this to go ahead

ah, don’t be so negative
: : :
MarioSpectatorI think it will go ahead. This ferry is already passing by on 15 miles fro Dubrovnik and it will be no much more expensive to stop in Dubrovnik, take passengers and carry on further to or from Venice and Greece. Dubrovnik was always before stop on this route.
CynthiaGuestI’m planning a trip and have been wanting to go to Croatia. When I looked for ferries, I saw that there’s a direct one from Bari, Italy to Dubrovnik, but it says that this ferry does not run in April. Is this true, and if so, how should I go about getting to Dubrovnik?
Thank you!

No idea, but i dont think you have to many options between greece and Dubrovnik
2. Travel between Dubrovnik and Split. Would like to do a coastal ferry, but a bus might be interesting with better schedules. We plan to travel with a backpack and duffel bag each. Is bus the way to go??
Both trips are very beatiful, i although will recommend the bus trip when you havent seen the costal line

Is possible, other option is to go to Porec in Istria, and take the Catemaran to Venice from there
Thanks for any ideas or assistance.
