adenauerSpectatorJust came back after some incredible 16 days in Croatia, and wantes to post about it just in case my tips could help someone after the incredible help i received in this forum. (THANS AGAIN SOLITUM)
SATURDAY
Flight from Spain. Arrival 13.00. Stayed in Hotel Argosy in Lapad peninsula nearby Dubrovnik. Not in Old Town but at 10 minute drive. Okay hotel, nothing great. Afternoon, walk around Old City + walls. better in afternoon, too hot during day
SUNDAY
Day excursion by car to Montengro cities of Herceginov and Kotor (wonderfull old medieval city) stopping by Molunat. Meal in Galion restaurant, great food+views of port. Mot cheap, not expensive, but worth. Comeback to Dubrovnik for late walk + dinner in port restaurant with ten dishes (can remember name) but crowded. Simple but good food. Great calamari.
MONDAY. Dubrovnik-Zadar (+Mostar)
Coast road, great views. First stop,Mostar. Nice old city with bridge. Worth stopping but Kotor excursion is far way better. In road to Zadar, Stopping by Ploce Lakes (great views), continue by coast to Makarska, Brela ant then got Freeway to Zadar to save time (since other days i would stop by Split, Sibenik etc). Arrived just in time in Zadar for sunset in the port, magnificent experience since there is a sea organ (some rare steps to the sea that make funny music with the waves). Dinner in restaurant Kornat. Incredibel Monk with truffle Sauce. Hotel in outskirts in Sveti Petar. Would recommend. better saty in Zadar,
TUESDAY. Zadar to Plitvice
Day visit to Zadar. Very Hot. Great Lunch in Phosa (little expensive but worth). Great fish. In road to Plitvice, stopped by Nin, and Novigrad (worth this one). Arrived to Plitvice. Stayed Hotel Plitvice. If yopui stay here you can buy tickets in advance for next day and you can have a quick tour that previous day.
WEDNESDAY Plitvice-Split
Plitvice Lake tour. We took the tour around 4 hrs. Great experience. Afternoon, to Split by car
THURSDAY
Excursion by car: Coasta road: Split-trogir-primosten-Sibenik (grea lunch in small restauran ?The pilgrim? just in front of stairways cathedral), Worth visiting Skradin for the lakes. This National Par is free entrance. back to Split for dinner in small restaurant behind church. ?Konoba Marjan? Grandma’s type food!
FRIDAY
Day excursion to Brac, Bol Zlatni rat beach in Ferry Car. Go two hours or 90 minutes before departure buy tickes and follow signs. Not complicated
SATURDAY. To Hvar, to rest and relax
By Ferry boat. Same procedure. Stayed in Anfora Hotel. Expensive, but Good. Dinner: japanese restuarnt in port was okay, not the best sushi, but good if you’re a sushie junkie. BEST: Luna and one just in front, called palaca palladini. Fish, pasta, excelent.
SUNDAY Hvar
MONDAY Hvar.
TUESDAY. Hvar.
WEDNESDAY. Hvar to Korkula Island
Since there wasnt any direct ferry car, went to Drvenik, and thn by car to Orebic and quick ferry car to Korkula. In the road, lunck in Mali Ston in the port. Kapetanova Kuka I think. There were three together, the one in the middle: Fried Kalamri + rissoto
THURSDAY: Korkula. DONT GO TO MARKO POLO HOTEL!
FRIDAY: Korkula +day visit to Proizd island. Great stunnig blue zaphir sea.
SATURDAY:
Crossed to Orebic. Now, I would have stayed in Korkula one day more, but wasnt sure how ferry cars worked…
SUNDAY:
Drive to Dubrovnik, Lunch in Mali Ston same restaurant. Flight back
