An additional 40 kilometres of the Zagreb-Split-Dubrovnik motorway has been opened. The section runs through Sestanovac-Zagvozd-Ravca. 47 objects have been built along this 40-kilometre section and they include 7 viaducts, 9 flyovers, 29 subway crossings and 2 crossings for animals. The agreed building costs amount to 1.66 billion kuna (without VAT). 7.5 kilometres of the link-up road Ploce-Luka Ploce from Karamatic to Ceveljusa have already been built.
Both passes were opened through the Mala Kapela and Sveti Rok tunnels on the Zagreb-Split motorway on Saturday, an investment that will enable better connections to these two major cities in Croatia and resolve congestion arising on the thoroughfare, notably during the weekend and summer months.
