    Can you rent a post office box on one of the island post offices?  How does that work?  Or can you just have mail sent from the states in care of general delivery at the island you are living at? 😮

    No problem, you can do both.
    Or just write name and address of the owner of the house you are staying with plus add note that letter is for you and it should be no troubles
