The head of Croatian police and the heads of the Slovak, Austrian, Czech and Hungarian police signed a memorandum in Opatija which will see the presence of police units from these countries in tourist destinations along the Croatian coast.
It is also expected that a similar memorandum will be signed with the French police. At the same time, 56 Croatian policemen are headed for Austria and Switzerland for the European Football Championships.
The exchange is an inter-state project launched three years ago by the Croatian police to raise awareness of Croatia as a safe tourist destination.
