  I’m staying in split at the 31th and 1st of september and on the 2nd of September I wanted to go to plitvice. Does anyone can tell me the buses’ timetables?! please…

  What are the transport options from Zagreb to Plitvice Lakes then on to Split?

  Do we need to book this in advance or can we book this at Zagreb or when we arrive at Plitvice Lakes?

  The only option to travel from Zagreb to Plitvice is by bus.
  No trains, sorry.
  To go to Split, you can take train, but from Zagreb only, not from Plitvice.

  Do we need to book this in advance or can we book this at Zagreb or when we arrive at Plitvice Lakes?

  You won’t be able to book bus ticket to Plitvice or Split in advance.
  Bus station in Plitvice is just a bus stop on the side of the road, so you have to stand there and wave to buses that go to Split.
  They always stop and pick up people, you should have no problems.

  Hi Darren, no trains run from Split to Plitvice. Take bus instead.

  Example timing is here :
  dep 06:00 arr12:10
  dep 12:00 arr17:48
  dep14:00 arr18:41 etc

  In August (timetable should be the same for september) Split departure is 5 AM, 6 AM and 12 AM Bus trip takes 5 to 6 hours.

  i saw this old posting. is there a better way to get to plitvice lakes from split..
  is there a train…?
  the bus seems to take a long time 6 hrs  for 257 km trip!~
  does the train from split go to tirgir
  where does the train from Split pass at its closest location to plitvice lakes. is there a bus to plitvice lakes
  from that train station.
  is there a train from plitvice to zagreb which station would be take and how often are they and the times?
  or is it yet another slow bus..>? do any buses go express.. or does every bus in europe stop at every 5 man town along the way?
