I am going to Croatia in May this year and planned to go to Plitvice National Park from Dubrovnik. Is there any direct transport between the places? If yes, how often are their schedule? I thought I found something like a night bus from Dubrovnik to Plitvice but I am not sure about that. Thank you!  ;D

Take any bus from Dubrovnik to Split and change there for Plitvice.
Direct bus from Dubrovnik to Plivice goes through Split anyway.
Timetable is here  ignore the date, May will be the same one):

So the bus from Dubrovnik to Plitvice is a night bus? When will it arrive then?

As for the bus from Split to Plitvice, it arrives at 2:00am. Am I able to find accomodation there that late?

Fogyy, could you tell me where you get that bus schedule? I would like to search the bus of other area in Croatia too.

I am so happy I found this website! It really helps me a lot!

Timetable is searchable at Split Autobusni Kolodvor site:

Take any morning bus from Dubrovnik to Split and chanage for Plitvice to arrive at reasonable hours if you wish to search for accommodation. Looking for room at 2 am is not practical

I agree with Foggy, looking for accommodation at 2 AM is not a good idea, as Plitvice lakes are in a forest area, imagine: it’s chili, dark and windy, often covered in fog and it rains a lot ! and you’re walking around knocking on doors of private house owners asking if they have room…
it’s a good idea to lave in the morning, do the accommodation search in daytime, or even book in advance online with any of a bunch of travel agencies-but Plitvice are a beautiful region, definitely worth seeing!

    go earlier

A night the bears might be out, so watch out if you plan knocking doors at that time!
