    I am travelling between Venice and Montenegro in April. Has anyone suggestions on the best way to travel, air, train, auto or ferry?

    I would check Venice to Belgrade flights.

    From Belgrade there are daily flight to Podgorica and Tivat in Montenegro.

    I know Jat, Belgrade has flights to Vienna.

    Check Venice – Vienna – Belgrade – Tivat route.

    Alternatives in April are slim. Car rental & driving perhaps….  ???

    Train from Venice to Zagreb – flight from Zagreb to Dubrovnik – Dubrovnik to Montenegro by bus……
