Traditional Rijeka Carnival opens today
The 26th Rijeka Carnival opened today with the raising of the carnival flag in Krimeja.
The international carnival procession, which is expected to gather groups from the Rijeka region, those from all over Croatia and abroad, is scheduled for 22 February.
The Queen of the Carnival will be chosen on 23 January, and the keys to the town will be turned over to the Mayor of the Carnival, Master of Ceremonies Toni.
The centre of Rijeka will see different events among which a snowboard competition that has also been announced.
