zaloasvSpectatorThere is also another car ferry going to the island of Hvar, for the brave ones! It is sailing from Drvenik, a small town south of Makarska, there are also people hanging around but I think it is not as crowded as in Split, and if someone has time… It arrives to the eastern point of the island, but it is a very nice way to get to know the island… the views are nice! And the ferry boat is just half hour!

zaloasvSpectatorI agree, walking around the palace is the best way. To see other places of Split, like Bacvice, Sustipan, Mestrovic gallery… it will be enough with the bus. Or even walking if you like it!

zaloasvSpectatorI think you will like it in Split, but of course that depends if you want something more quiet.
In Split is ok. Problem in Trogir is for parking the car, if you go to downtown Trogir, you must pay 15kn per hour, you can also park in Ciovo or somewhere before entering the island…
I would recommend you Split, definetely! For the hotel, it depends how much you want to spend.in reply to: Transportation from SPU to ACI Marina Split #16822
zaloasvSpectatorHi, it is true that ACI marina can be not too far away walking…
But if you are with luggage it can be a bit dodgy. The problem with the previous answer is that autobus number 8 is not close to where the bus from the airport will drop you…
Let me explain you like this: you walk down the bus. Enter the Riva (you cannot miss it, the sea will be on your left, the palace on your right. When the beautiful white floor is finished, you will see a bus station. That is where you can take number 8, that says Sv. Frane- ?njan.
I am not sure now how many stops you will need until you arrive to the marina, but probably just one or two. There is a big building with some glasses on it, they are working now on it. It is hotel Marjan, and more-less in front of it is the entrance to ACI Marina. -
