Vrsar marina – the best Eastern Adriatic marina
Foreign sailors visiting Skippertipps, a specialist website, have for the sixth consecutive time voted Vrsar as the best of Eastern Adriatic marinas. It came ahead of the marinas on Brac, Ugljan, Krk, Murter, in Rogoznica, Tribunj and Izola.
Boaters assessed four main characteristics: cleanliness and nature protection, environment and facilities, staff friendliness and prices at the marina and its restaurant.
The Vrsar marina had the highest ratings in three of the four categories. This marina originally came first in 2005, followed by the same result the year after that and it has held the primacy over the last four years.
The Vrsar marina is open throughout the year. The majority of transit sailors are Italians 55 % , 30 % are German-speaking visitors and 12 % are Slovenes. Amongst the foreign sailors, most are Germans with 27 %, followed by Austrians with 24 %t and Italians with 20 %.
